I'm Erica, a quirky, fun and relatable gal from Washington, DC. My passion is creating timeless and memorable experiences for others. My faith in God, expertise and desire for working with people has led me on this journey of producing special events, celebrations and weddings.

My background is hospitality and executive administration. Throughout my career, which began in 1998, I’ve had the honor of working at some of DC’s most historic restaurants like Ben’s Chili Bowl and Florida Avenue Grill. I served some amazing celebrities, and worked under the best leadership. This gave me the opportunity to grow. I then went on to further my education and gained my certifications in computer office applications and professional development. This pushed me into corporate settings in 2002. During my 12 years as an executive assistant, I supported some influential managers. I learned so many organizational skills. I was exposed to corporate events, receptions, meetings, fundraisers and other wonderful opportunities for me to put my abilities to plan to use.

 

After about 9 years of working for a DC lobbying office, my desire to start my own event and wedding planning business became strong. I took a part-time event assistant job at the church next door to my office building. Getting closer to God and doing what I loved helped enhance my confidence and skills in the industry.

 

In 2010, after having the best support system and boss who believed in my dreams, Enchanting Events by Erica was born! It is one of my greatest accomplishments. Every day I get to operate my dream business. My creativity knows no limit. It is an honor to be considered as your Event and Wedding Planner. Let me exceed your expectations.
